Do you want to know how most successful people stay motivated?
They have a process.
True motivation has to come from within you and it’s not always easy…so you need a process of getting there even when you don’t “feel like it”
It can’t be something you look to acquire from others, you have to develop #selfmotivation skills.
Of course you will get motivation and inspiration from outside influences but those people are not in your head all the time.
When the only conversation in your head is the one you are having with yourself, it requires you to be the motivator and that’s what today’s podcast will help you develop.
Are you ready to become your very own best motivational speaker?
Then you are going to love this episode where I share the 3 Step “Pep Talk” that will change your life.
When you are feeling unmotivated to take on a project, exercise, eat the salad, meditate, write the blog, clean your room, go to work or whatever the task may be, you have to find the motivation within you to do it anyway.
How?
The first step is to ASSESS:
Ask yourself, “Why don’t I feel motivated to do this thing or take this action? How am I feeling? Why am I dreading, fearing, avoiding this task in my life?
The second step is to ASK:
Ask yourself, “Why am I doing this task? Why is this important to me in my life”? If the answer to this question isn’t stronger or more important than the reason why not to do it, you won’t have the motivation to take action.
The third step is to ACT:
After you ASSESS how you are feeling and why this task is important to you, you can decide “TO DO” or “DO NOT”! If it’s important to you, you’ll do it! If not, you won’t and it’s important that you don’t feel guilty or upset with yourself for not doing it.
Ultimately, you have to give yourself a gut check and then find the internal motivation for doing what you need to do.
I wish it was easier than that but the reality is that nobody can motivate you but YOU!
Now the question is, “are you willing to give yourself the gut check and pep talk to make it happen”?
