In order to live your healthiest most energized life, you must have a healthy relationship with food. That means a loving, trusting relationship that is not abusive or fearful.
Too many people are struggling with disordered eating and that leads to an unhealthy relationship with food. That all ends when we have a new perspective about food and it’s purpose in our lives.
I have 4 Ways to help you create a loving relationship with food.
#1. Pick Foods That Make You Feel Like 1Million Bucks!
This requires you to be more conscious of how food makes you feel. Consciously eating and feeling is how you understand what foods make you feel energized or tired, satisfied or hungry, bloated or not, etc. Then you can choose foods that make you feel simply awesome.
#2. Pick Foods That Add Value To Your Day & Life!
Choosing quality foods that offer a high density nutrient value is going to change everything about how you feel and function. Just like you pick high quality people to date and have friendships with, food should be no different.
#3. Bring Home Foods That Represent The Best Of You
What you buy at the grocery store and stock your kitchen with will represent who you are. Junk foods and treats will certainly be consumed in your life but it shouldn’t be a temptation or habit to consume at home on a regular basis. If you buy it, you will eat it and you will become it.
#4. Have An Abundant VS. Deprivation Mindset About Food
Instead of focusing your efforts on what to cut out, eliminate or deprive yourself of, focus your efforts on what you can add to enhance your health. When you focus on this positive, you tend to focus less on the unhealthy foods that make you feel like crap.
I hope these tips add a ton of great perspective for you and how you think about food.
