Welcome back to the Secret Life-Changing Formula volume #3.
We are going over the Sexy Confident Women Formula Secrets that truly help us make sustainable change in our life.
I love going over these different elements of the formula so that I can truly show you how it’s different from most health and fitness programs that are out there. I want you diving in and learning these valuable habits, behaviors, and ideas so that you can make permanent lifestyle changes for yourself.
Let talk about optimizing energy.
It’s not just about following a healthy diet program or eating less sugar and less crap; it’s about adopting the values and philosophies about nutrition and health that support the habits and behaviors to fuel your body the right way.
Most of us have that common goal: eat healthy, have more energy, feel less bloated, drop the pounds.
We look right away for that new diet to try.
A lot of people email me, “Anna, I want to do that cleanse.”
Their only thought process is “because I want to feel less bloated, I want more energy, I want to lose weight,” but it’s not attached to anything more, so everyone just goes to the healthy diet, the cleanse, the meal plan right away.
But here’s what happens: People can’t stick with that for too long.
Most of those cleanses are short-term. You don’t do a cleanse long term.
Healthy diets tend to get boring. We start and we stop, and our energy, it doesn’t remain optimal when we have this ongoing rollercoaster of ups and downs of eating healthy and then eating crappy.
The solution in the Sexy Confident Woman Formula is different
Number one, we need to develop a healthy relationship with food.
How do you see food?
What do you perceive it as?
Is it your enemy?
Is it something that you value as power?
You have to distinguish and really create a solid relationship with how you perceive food, what your relationship is with food.
Think about that in your life. How do you perceive what you eat? It changes the game. We have to understand how our body feels when we eat certain foods. Have you ever done this? I call it conscious eating. Have you ever just evaluated how different foods make you feel?
You know how wine makes you feel: sleepy and buzzed, but how does yogurt make you feel?
How does that salad make you feel?
How did that salmon filet make you feel?
How did that yogurt parfait make you feel?
How did that bowl of cereal make you feel?
When you start paying attention to how foods make you feel, you become more aware of what your body likes, what is healing you and not hurting you.
We need to develop our own meal plan.
So many people out there got meal plans for you, but until you’re conscious of how food makes you feel, see what foods are awesome for you, and you have that healthy relationship, you can actually develop your own meal plan.
I help my pioneers do this in the course.
You can do this tomorrow, but you certainly need to first evaluate how different foods make you feel so that you can come up with your list of amazing foods, what are the foods that make you feel the most energized and the most satisfied, the less bloated, the less tired.
We talk about purging the kitchen. I always say, junk food has a place, but not home.
What do you buy? What is stocked?
If you’re like, “Anna, I can’t stop eating this chocolate.” I’m like, “Okay, so you’re still buying it then.” Yeah? Gotta get your kitchen in order, my friend.”
Get the kitchen in order. We gotta value variety more than anything. Everyone always says, “Anna, what do you eat?” I’m like, “Whew, well, I eat a variety of things that make me feel awesome, and that’s what I eat. I’m aware of how my body responds to food. I don’t buy stuff that’s crappy, and I have a variety of things in my kitchen, and I change it up all the time.”
A lot of people eat broccoli and chicken when they’re on a diet. It’s like, what are you doing? Are you trying to sabotage yourself?
There’s so much that can come of variety, guys, and you got to start adding it in your diet. You don’t even need much more than that. Just understand that you need to give yourself variety.
Then have a plan for real life.
What I love so much about the formula, is that we talk about the fact there’s going to be cheat days.
There’s going to be parties. There’s going to be these things that happen in our life.
We live in a society now that is much different than our parents’ time. It’s a very social thing. There’s a lot of different cultures and different foods and things that we want to enjoy, and that’s okay.
If you’re obsessed with macros and you’re obsessed with not eating certain things, you’re going to struggle.
We need to plan for real life.
Things are going to come into our life. We need to know how to handle that.
We need to know how to accept that and let go of guilt of eating chocolate or whatever.
Plan for real life.
If you’re not, you’re going to fail that diet because a diet won’t last. Think about that. How real is your plan for how you’re going to optimize your energy?
The result is a little different.
Eating healthy is what we do, but that doesn’t fuel why we do it.
All of those lessons help us stay consistent and committed to fueling our body the right way, not just because we want to lose weight or lose the muffin top, but because energy in food is a power, and it has greater meaning to us.
We eat for energy, not just to lose weight.
I hope I’m really tapping into your perspective right now.
I hope things are starting to click in your mind behind what makes permanent lifestyle change really a reality.
Stop looking around and wondering why some people can sustain that lifestyle while some people don’t need a diet program to help them eat well and fuel their body.
The secrets are clear.
It’s not a secret, actually. I really want you to take action, so remember guys, jump into the Sexy Confident Woman Formula.
Start adding these values, principles, philosophies into your life because it’s going to change the course of where you go from here. It truly is.
Next week we’re going to go over volume number four, that third life-changing secret, and it has to do all with our mental psychology around how we treat ourselves, how we talk to ourselves, how we value ourselves, and that is probably the most important thing that we gotta talk about!
